I WANT A HIPPOPOTAMUS FOR CHRISTMAS

Many of us would have grown up with this popular Christmas song and now it is presented in a colourful picture story book for children as young as 3. This is an original version of the song with a kitten writing to Santa wanting hippopotamus for Christmas. The delightful illustrations add to the fun of this story which was first released in 1953 by 10 year old Gayla Peevey. It became an instant hit and has been a favourite ever since. Along with the book is a cd of the song performed by award winning actress Miranda Tapsell. Miranda who is a presenter on ABCs Playschool is also known for her performance in the TV series Love Child. What a lovely Christmas present this book and cd would make or use it in the lead up to Christmas to get everyone into the spirit of Christmas.
