PIG THE ELF

Author: Aaron Blabey

R.R.P: 16.99

Review: Joan Stienman

Pig the pug is up to his usual greedy, selfish ways in this funny Christmas story. Pig writes out his list for Santa; a rather long list. Then he decides to stay awake on Christmas Eve to make sure Santa delivers all he has asked for. Of course Santa doesn’t leave enough under the tree for Pig’s liking so he bites onto Santa in an effort to make him stay and empty out more presents. But Santa flies off into the sky with Pig attached.

In typical Aaron Blabey fashion this picture story book has plenty of humour. It is written in rhyme and has colourful pictures to add to the humour. Young children will love the Christmas theme but also laugh at the antics of Pig. Perhaps there is also an opportunity for discussion about being too greedy.
