City Of Ballarat Employees Roll Up Their Sleeves To Save Lives

MEDIA ALERT – Tuesday 8 August 2017

City of Ballarat employees are rolling up their sleeves to help ensure 25% of Australia’s blood donations are secured.

Today, City of Ballarat Chief Executive Officer Justine Linley and the Executive Leadership Team will donate blood as part of the Red25 Councils Blood Challenge 2017.

Local governments across Australia are competing to give the most blood donations between 1 July – 30 September.

The City of Ballarat employees have this year already made 216 donations, with 52 donations contributing to the challenge.

With each donation saving up to three lives, that’s up to 648 lives saved so far in 2017.
