This year, nominations will be made online for the first time via the MyTownHall website in the following three categories:
- Conservation of a Heritage Place

City of Ballarat Mayor Cr Samantha McIntosh said the Awards are an opportunity to celebrate those local residents, tradespeople and businesses dedicated to preserving Ballarat’s unique heritage.
“Ballarat is a city steeped in heritage. It is our identity – our foundations from the past that have forged the city we have today,” she said.
“The Ballarat Heritage Awards are a special opportunity to recognise those outstanding individuals and businesses playing a major role in helping shape a tomorrow that preserves and showcases our past for generations – now and in the future.
“I encourage the community to help us acknowledge and celebrate our city’s exceptional heritage by making a nomination for this year’s Awards.”
Nominations close 5pm on Monday, 19 March 2018 with winners announced on Tuesday, 15 May 2018 as part of Ballarat’s Heritage Month.
