This is from the Epic FAIL Tales series and the warning on the cover says it contains gross stuff, extreme stupidity and gore. All true.
This isn’t Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs but it almost is. Matt Cosgrove has taken this traditional tale and literally crossed out words and replaced them. Hence Snow Man instead of Snow White and ninjas instead of dwarfs. Imagine the story with the mean old stepmother as a superhero and the handsome prince as a vampire. There is no sloppy kissing, no handsome prince and no happily ever after. Is this a new and improved, modern day version of this classic fairy tale? Remember the names of the dwarfs which gave an indication of their traits eg. Sleepy, Grumpy, Happy, Sneezy etc. Now relate to the ninjas with names such as Farty, Snotty and Phlegmy. Yes it is gross. But it does put a funny twist on the fairy tale. Another paperback in this Epic Fail Tales is LITTLE STUNT RED RIDING HOOD where this classic fairy tale is given similar treatment. The Little Mermaid has also been given this revamp in ATTACK OF THE GIANT ROBOT ZOMBIE MERMAID with the addition of slime, zombies, pirates and explosions.
With line art drawings, also by Matt Cosgrove, on every page adding to the humour these books will certainly appeal to readers from 8 upwards.
