REGIONAL VICTORIA TO HOST NEW CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL IN FEBRUARY
Over the weekend of February 9-11, thirteen of Australia’s best classical musicians will assemble at the historic Peppers Mineral Springs Hotel in Hepburn Springs to perform seven concerts. In addition, Sunday Morning Classical Conversations will feature respected journalist and author Laura Tingle, political editor of the Australian Financial Review who will share stories of her life’s work and the role music has played in it.
The concerts will feature Australia’s favourite soprano Greta Bradman, piano virtuoso Timothy Young, British violinist and Head of Strings at Elder Conservatorium Elizabeth Layton, clarinetist Justin Beere and dynamic young quartet the Orava Quartet, amongst others.
The brainchild of Melbourne pianist, broadcaster and producer Stewart Kelly, Music By The Springs aims to present an unforgettable weekend of music making in an intimate setting that chamber music is best suited to. Guests can elect to purchase packages including lunches and dinners to be catered by the Argus Dining Room, the hotel’s award winning restaurant.
